FAQs

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

People come to therapy for a variety of reasons, with different hopes and aspirations. Part of how I work is to regularly check in with you about how you are finding  therapy so we can keep exploring what is right for you.

When and how often are sessions?

Most people find that weekly sessions work best, especially at the beginning. This provides consistency and helps build a safe, supportive relationship - allowing healing to take place in relationship.

I currently have face to face availability on a Friday.

What if I don’t know what to say?

That’s totally normal, especially at the start. Therapy is a space to explore whatever feels present for you, even if that’s not quite knowing what to say, or silence. My aim is to be with you with whatever you bring, offering a warm, non-judgemental presence.

How long are sessions, and what do they cost?

Each session lasts 50 minutes and costs £55 per session.

What happens if I miss a session?

If you provide 48hrs notice, there will be no charge. As I hold your slot for you, so it will not be filled by anyone else, a cancellation at shorter notice would incur the usual session charge.

How long will I need therapy?

That really depends on your hopes for therapy and what feels right for you. Some people come for a short period to focus on a specific issue, while others value longer-term therapy to explore things in greater depth. This is something we can explore together as we go along.

Where do sessions take place and is there parking?

Sessions take place in the heart of Loughborough in a room within Charnwood Counselling:

Floor 2, The Old Arts College, 12 Frederick Street, Loughborough, LE11 3BJ

There is a bus stop nearby as well as free parking within short walking distance.
